The Process for Countertops and Tile

Countertop Makeovers features a revolutionary Spray-On Granite-Look Coating System that is an eco-friendly product that permanently adheres to your existing countertops and tile. This durable finish is available in a wide selection of designer colours and is backed by a full warranty.

Our professional technicians will repair any damage to your countertops and tile including burns, scratches, cut marks, missing grout, chips, and dents prior to refinishing.

And best of all, since we cure the coatings with ultra violet light, your kitchen and bathrooms are ready to use that same day.

No need to wait for drying – you’re ready to make dinner or take that shower as soon as we walk out the door!

Here’s what we do:

• Repair any damage you have to the existing countertops and thoroughly clean your countertops to remove any oil from the surface.
• Mask off the surrounding areas including your backsplash, cabinets, floors and adjacent walls
• Spray a two part compound designed to bond to the existing countertops and tile.
• Spray a waterbased colour from one of our designer colours in your choice
• Spray a speciallizally designed U.V. Coating in either a gloss or a semi gloss finish
• Cure the U.V. Coating using an ultraviolet light and producing a hard durable finish that will last for years to come.
• Remove the masking and your countertops and tile are ready for use.

How to prepare for our arrival:

1. Clear everything off the top of your Kitchen/Bathroom counters and clean counters.
2. Sinks and stovetops do not have to be removed, Countertop Makeovers can easily tape off the existing sink and taps. If removing sink - Shut off the water before you remove any sinks and stovetops from the counters that are being resurfaced.
3. Pull out the fridge and stove to provide easy access to the ends of countertop
4. Remove items such as curtains, towels, etc… from the Kitchen/Bathroom if they are within 3 to 4 feet of the countertop.

Once resurfacing has been completed:

1. Your countertops and tile are ready to use immediately after resurfacing
2. You may caulk if you deem it necessary
3. Cleaning your bathtub is easy, any household cleaners that do not contain bleach or abrasives can be used.
